Fire Marshal Course
Course Overview
Our Fire Marshal Course is designed to equip employees with the knowledge, leadership skills, and practical understanding required to effectively fulfil the role of a Fire Marshal within the workplace. The Fire Marshal Course focuses on developing competent individuals who can assist in preventing fire incidents, coordinating emergency response procedures, supporting safe evacuations, and promoting a culture of fire safety throughout the organisation. Through theoretical learning and practical workplace scenarios, participants develop the confidence required to respond appropriately to fire-related emergencies and support effective workplace fire prevention.
The Fire Marshal Course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of workplace fire risks, fire prevention strategies, and the responsibilities associated with managing fire safety within designated areas. Participants will learn how to identify potential fire hazards, conduct routine fire safety inspections, monitor emergency equipment, and ensure that fire prevention measures are maintained in accordance with workplace safety requirements. The course also helps learners understand the importance of keeping evacuation routes clear, identifying fire safety deficiencies, and reporting hazards before they contribute to a workplace fire.
Learners will also gain knowledge of emergency preparedness and evacuation planning, including how to coordinate evacuation procedures, account for personnel during emergencies, assist emergency services, and communicate effectively during critical incidents. The Fire Marshal Course covers the principles of fire behaviour, common causes of workplace fires, emergency response procedures, fire prevention, and the importance of maintaining compliance with fire safety regulations and organisational policies. Participants will learn how to remain calm during emergencies and provide appropriate assistance while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
A strong emphasis is placed on the role of the Fire Marshal as a key member of the workplace emergency response structure. Participants will learn how to conduct fire safety awareness activities, support management in maintaining fire safety standards, and contribute to reducing fire-related risks within the organisation. Practical exercises and workplace-based scenarios are incorporated into the Fire Marshal Course to ensure learners can confidently apply their knowledge in real-life situations. Learners will also understand how effective communication, regular inspections, emergency preparedness, and employee awareness contribute to a safer workplace.
This Fire Marshal Course is ideal for organisations that require designated Fire Marshals as part of their occupational health and safety programmes and emergency preparedness plans. Properly trained Fire Marshals assist businesses in enhancing workplace safety, improving emergency response capabilities, reducing fire risks, and supporting compliance with legal and safety obligations. The training is suitable for supervisors, managers, safety representatives, emergency response personnel, fire wardens, team leaders, security personnel, facilities staff, and employees responsible for workplace fire safety management. Completing a Fire Marshal Course helps designated personnel understand their responsibilities and become better prepared to support fire prevention, evacuation, and emergency response activities within the workplace.
