Fire Fighting Course (Basic)

Course Overview

Our Fire Fighting Course is designed to equip employees with the essential knowledge, awareness, and practical firefighting skills required to respond effectively to workplace fire emergencies. The programme focuses on promoting fire safety within the workplace while preparing learners to act quickly, safely, and responsibly during emergency situations. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical exercises, participants gain the confidence and competence needed to assist in controlling fire incidents, protecting lives, and reducing damage to property and equipment.
The Fire Fighting Course provides learners with a clear understanding of how fires start, the different classes of fires, common workplace fire hazards, and the factors that contribute to the rapid spread of fire. Participants will learn how to identify potential fire risks in various working environments and apply basic fire prevention measures to reduce the likelihood of incidents occurring. The training also highlights the importance of housekeeping, safe storage practices, electrical safety, and maintaining a safe working environment to minimise fire-related risks.
In addition to fire prevention, the fire fighting course covers emergency response procedures, evacuation protocols, alarm activation, and the importance of remaining calm and communicating effectively during emergency situations. Learners will understand the roles and responsibilities of employees during workplace emergencies and how coordinated responses can assist in improving overall safety during an incident.
A strong emphasis is placed on the correct selection and safe use of firefighting equipment, including the different types of fire extinguishers commonly used within workplace environments. Participants will learn when and how to use firefighting equipment safely and effectively while understanding the limitations and dangers associated with attempting to fight a fire. Practical firefighting demonstrations and hands-on exercises simulate real-life emergency situations, allowing learners to apply their knowledge in a controlled and supervised environment.
This Fire Fighting Course is ideal for businesses that are required to provide fire safety and emergency preparedness training as part of occupational health and safety compliance requirements. Properly trained employees can assist organisations in improving workplace safety, reducing fire-related risks, supporting emergency preparedness, and helping employers meet legal and safety obligations. The training is suitable for employees, supervisors, fire wardens, safety representatives, emergency response teams, contractors, security personnel, and any staff members responsible for workplace safety and emergency response procedures.
