A health and safety representative is an employee that has the duty of inspecting the workplace for any threats and then reporting and following up on action plans.
This training course teaches participants the overview of the laws, inspecting the workplace, investigating the threat, participating in the other staff feedback and reporting threats to the correct source. The health and safety rep has a responsibility to create a committee with other health and safety reps and the manager/supervisor/owner to investigate threats and update action plans.
If an unfortunate event should take place these meeting minutes and reports can reduce the risk of damage to property, injuries, death, or in unforeseen cases a lawsuit.
